| "Attached are the fiberglass padeyes/tiedowns. Of the 16 I installed
inside the hull (8 are hatch hold-downs), 4 have come up (the 4 behind the
seat without adequate surface prep. I also have 1 hatch bungie tiedown starting
to come loose. It is just starting to pull away a bit in the middle--I'll
pop it off and really rough up the glass below, and its own base to make
sure the epoxy really sticks. I'd guess it has 20+ pounds of tension on it
all the time, so I'm not upset that it's coming loose--I just don't want
it to happen in big seas! So, with 4 layers of 5.5 oz plain weave glass,
a 1/2" wide loop can adequately hold 20+ lbs of tension."
