* I noticed that my front and rear nylon secure straps were "humming" at highway speeds and rubbing against the cars painted surfaces, bumpers, hood, trunk..so I slipped them through some gray foam pipe insulator that I bought in the plumbing section at Home Depot. it works like a charm.
* Both tie down straps and secure straps are a chore to tie off so that the ends won't flap in the wind so I bought a package of 6" X 1/ 4 " velcro strips that computer stores sell in a package of 6 for $2.99, to keep your computer cables bundled together and instead of tedious tying I just whip one of the strips around the bundled end and stick it to itself....
