some  may think that they detract from the appearance of the boat. With a

little extra work, the perimeter lines can be installed so they double as a tow

system, even though some paddlers (reasonably) opine that such a

multi-purpose tow line is not long enough, and the Aussies seem to think

that it must be made of 8 mm (rather than 3/16") line.
