High above the Delaware River these people are working on the Walt Whitman Bridge. This is one of 5 bridges crossing into Philadelphia from New Jersey, the southernmost access span. The bridge is direct access to the stadium area and connects to I95, the eastern artery spanning the city, and 76 which heads out to the west.
Walt Whitman was a poet with a beard and had very little use for this bridge, especially with the traffic jams caused by this construction.
