I needed my bi-weekly fill up on my way to Philadelphia today, and I saw my gas station attendant Michael (on the right).  I had referred to him in the May 26 link in regards to the help wanted sign that I had passed on my way to the studio.  He is off to the shore in a couple of weeks for the summer.  I will miss the conversations.  I hope he persues his photography interests.

The man in the jacket was just caught attempting to pump his own gas.  In New Jersey, this is not permitted.  10 miles away in Pennsylvania, the majority of stations are self serve.  This obviously reveals the strength of the New Jersey Gas Station aAttendant Lobby.  The paradox is that the cost of gas is at least 10 cents more expensive in Pennsylvania without the increased labor cost.

I believe the man was released with a stern warning.

That's my truck on the right.
