This is the most fun step in preparing a limestone table base.  After cutting the stone, drilling the holes and sanding the surface, the muriatic acid etches the surface for a good adhesion of the paint.

The most interesting thing that I discovered today is that sanding the stone generated a static charge which gave me quite a surprise when I touched the surface.
